Black
Swan:
This Australian swan is the only swan to nest in colonies with nests
spaces only meters apart. It has pure black plumage except for white
primaries.

Black
Necked Swan:
South American Swan which rarely leaves the water, moving very
awkwardly on land. Cygnets carried almost constantly on backs of adults,
feeding carefully so not to dislodge them.

Coscoroba Swan:
South American swan whose name is an attempt at impersonating its
three syllable call. It is the only swan with bi-colored offspring (all
other swans have single colored cygnets).

Trumpeter Swan:
North American swan with distinct wedge-shaped head. It is the
largest of all waterfowl. The Trumpeter Swan takes at least four to five
years to reach maturity.

Whooper Swan:
Large Euro/Asian swan that is well equipped for land travel with long
legs and a high stepping action. Neck is usually held fairly straight and
curved necks signify anger or nervousness.
